Annie Heffernan pulled off the distance double at the state meet running away from the field in both events.  In the photo above, she is seen winning the 3200m run with no one else in sight as the second place finisher comes in some 15.8 seconds behind her time of 10:38.4. 

In winning the 1600m run in 4:48..39, she lowered her city record time by almost two seconds.
