Coach - Mike Dehring (St. Xavier)
Mike Dehring of St. Xavier was named the Division I Cross Country Coach of the Year by the Enquirer after leading the Bombers to a second straight DI state championship.  He also coached his team to a perfect score (15) in their league meet (GCLS) for two straight years, a feat that had never been done twice in the history of the league and only done once before for one year.

He is the only coach to directly qualify his team to the Nike Cross Nationals from Ohio by finishing first or second at the Nike Midwest Regional.   Also, no other team from Ohio has ever qualified twice since the National meet began in 2004.

He had all five of his scorers make the all city team, a feat never done before.

Mike has climbed to the top of the mountain in both Cincinnati and Ohio cross country history and announced he is retiring as head coach of the Bombers to devote more time to his family and job.  His shoes will be nearly impossible to fill by his successor.
